The Riverland Fall Festival in Port St. Lucie provided hundreds of Riverland residents with outdoor activities and a creative way to give back to local nonprofits. Held at the Riverland Art & Culture Center, the festival complete with vendors, booths and tons of activities was open to all 3,000+ Riverland residents.
Since June, charitable-minded Riverland neighbors who are members of the Riverland Pottery Club have been busy making 100 uniquely designed clay mugs that were sold at the festival. Each mug was stamped with a custom Empty Bowls Project 2024 logo and the name of the Riverland resident who created the mug. Proceeds benefitted the Treasure Coast Food Bank.
Those mugs weren’t empty for long! As part of the festival’s chili cookoff contest, people who purchased a mug were encouraged to fill it with chili and vote on their favorite chili recipe.
The Riverland Pottery Club raised $5,750 for the Treasure Coast Food Bank’s hunger relief efforts.
Treasure Coast Food Bank provides nutritious food to individuals and families throughout Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee Counties. TCFB is committed to alleviating hunger.
