The Lord’s Place Meal Mobile travels to Belle Glade once a week to serve meals and provide social services to people experiencing homelessness.
More than 225 Belle Glade residents receive a hot lunch every Friday courtesy of the Meal Mobile. Each person receives a protein, starch, fresh fruit and of course, a homemade cookie from The Lord’s Place culinary team at Joshua’s Catering.
Food is used as an engagement tool to help those experiencing homelessness get off the streets into safe, clean, affordable housing.
GL Homes completely funds the Meal Mobile program, which also serves Riviera Beach.
Since the Meal Mobile hit the road in 2023, it has provided 11,450 meals to those experiencing homelessness in Palm Beach County.
The Lord’s Place works to break the cycle of homelessness for men, women, children and families in Palm Beach County.
