Santa & Mrs. Claus spread Christmas cheer to 60 excited children who are Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County members. Through the Boys & Girls Clubs Adopt-a-Club initiative, GL Homes adopted the Renaissance Club in Fort Myers, ensuring each child received a holiday gift. For some of these kids, it was the only present they received this Christmas.
GL Homes employees, Aaron Isban and Lynn Deffet, played starring roles as Santa & Mrs. Claus. Other GL Homes employees served as Santa’s helpers by distributing gifts and serving food.
A unique element that made the season bright for these children was a special shopping excursion that allowed the kids to shop for their parents and primary caregivers during the festivities. GL Homes volunteers helped the kids wrap their carefully selected gifts.
Neighborhood clubs, such as the Renaissance Club, serve a specific neighborhood, typically affordable housing communities. These clubs provide enriching after-school and summer programs.
GL Homes was the title sponsor of the GL Homes and Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County Holiday Gift Drive 2022. The Florida homebuilder has already committed to the 2023 title sponsorship. Across Florida, GL Homes was the title sponsor of five Boys & Girls Clubs Holiday Gift Drives: Lee County, Collier County, Tampa Bay, St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County.
