GL Homes employees volunteered to stuff 500 backpacks chock full of essential school supplies for Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County students in Port St. Lucie.
With just two weeks before the start of a new school year, kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade received a new backpack along with all the items on their school supply checklist.
GL Homes donated $11,500 to pay for all the backpacks and school supplies so students can start school ready to learn. This project is part of GL Homes’ Summer of Service, a statewide initiative.
