The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County hosted another sold-out event with its 12th Annual Steak & Stake dinner. The super-hero themed dinner was held at the PGA Island Club in Port St. Lucie.

Six-time Olympic Gold Medalist winner Jackie Joyner-Kersee was the special guest speaker who motivated and inspired the young people in attendance to persevere and to pursue a college education.
 
For over 24 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County has been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. With 20 locations throughout St. Lucie County, they serve more than 8,000 youth annually with afterschool, summer and outreach programs.
